Assist individuals with emotional, mental, intellectual and physical disabilities and improve their quality of life.

º£½ÇÖ±²¥â€™s bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services, with a concentration in addiction studies, equips you with the knowledge and skills to serve individuals of all abilities in both traditional and underserved communities in Alabama and beyond. Our biopsychosocial approach to rehabilitation services combines research, theory and service to meet the needs of your consumers and clients.

You’ll be prepared to identify health care disparities and empower others to take charge of their lives in careers spanning allied health, counseling and rehabilitation, and social/human services.

Throughout ASU’s Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services program, you’ll explore models and theories that examine the cultural, economic, political and social factors that impact disabilities, diseases and illnesses. Using a biopsychosocial approach to service delivery, our rehabilitation services degree aids you in providing effective assessments and interventions through coursework in:

Rehabilitation studies degree coursework takes place in the John L. Buskey Health Sciences Center, which has 10 smart classrooms, six clinical skills laboratories, a Gross Anatomy Lab, a spacious computer lab, three student resources centers, an interdisciplinary clinic and four research labs. You’ll have the resources and space you need to succeed in your studies.

Faculty members within ASU’s rehabilitation services degree are leaders in the field and licensed and/or certified practitioners in private practice and in larger health systems. These innovative instructional leaders have extensive experience in rehabilitation services and will prepare you to succeed wherever your career takes you.
