The ASU chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, was installed
on May 8, 2013. Psi Chi鈥檚 mission is to 鈥 to produce a well-educated, ethical, and
socially responsible member committed to contributing to the science and profession
of psychology and to society in general.鈥
Psi Chi at ASU coordinates closely with the Psychology Club, and is involved in sponsoring
academic seminars on particular research topics, hosting panel discussions on psychological
topics, and having guest speakers talk about different careers in psychology. We
also engage in a variety of service projects with the Psychology Club.
Requirements for membership in the ASU Chapter of the international organization are:
- major or minor in psychology
- have completed at least 3 semesters of college courses
- have completed at least 9 semester hours of psychology courses
- have an overall GPA of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale)and rank in the top 35% of your class
- have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4-point scale) in psychology courses
- be actively involved in the Psychology Club
